Nick Garaty is a Trainee Solicitor (SQE) at Thomas Mansfield Solicitors.
Nick works in the dispute resolution team and assists with wills, trusts, and probate disputes. His responsibilities include attending hearings, drafting, research, and case management. He has experience in a wide range of civil areas such as landlord and tenant, money claims, and interim applications.
Nick previously worked as a County-Court Advocate, building up a wealth of experience in advocacy and attending over two hundred hearings in various areas of law. He then joined the firm as a paralegal for a year before accepting a position as a trainee.
Nick has a degree in Law and Forensic Investigation from Canterbury Christ Church University, and completed the Bar Practice Course with a Masters in Law at the University of Law. He was called to the Bar in 2021. Nick volunteered at a legal support helpdesk throughout his time at university, as well as more recently performing worker compliance assessments for a well-known accountancy firm.
Outside of employment law, Nick has a keen interest in international law and defence; having written papers on international patent law and wartime technology, and the regulations on development of novel weaponry.
