What is a simple Will?

A simple Will assumes you intend to leave everything to your partner/spouse/civil partner and/or children and have no other complex wishes. Standard provisions such as executors, funeral wishes, guardians, chattels, cash gifts and charitable gifts are included.

The offer includes a telephone call or video call meeting to itemise your assets and determine whether there are any Inheritance Tax (IHT) issues. If we are instructed on a mirror Will we will need to know about any joint assets (usually your home or joint bank accounts which have a bearing on the way Wills are constructed). Once a draft Will has been prepared we will send this to you for your approval before preparing a final draft. We also offer free Will storage and online witnessing by a solicitor or other legal professional.

Any advice on Will Trusts, bare trusts, inheritance tax or more complex matters is outside the scope of this offer however, we would be happy to provide a quote for drafting a Will with more complex requirements.
